AS PART OF JANE ELIAS’S SONNET CORONA PROJECT, LAUREN WAS ASKED TO CREATIVELY INTERPRET AND RECORD A SONNET JANE WROTE FOR HER WITHIN 24 HOURS. SEE BELOW FOR THE VIDEO! (note: these are not lauren’s actual views on marriage :) )

August 16, LAUREN was ON SETH RUDETSKY’S STARS IN THE HOUSE ALONG WITH SOME INCREDIBLE OTHER ARTISTS (JASON ROBERT BROWN, MARC SHAIMAN, Lin-Manuel Miranda, MANDY GONZALES, AND SO MANY MORE!) IN A VIRTUAL GALA TO BENEFIT HANCOCK-FRENCH WOODS ARTS ALLIANCE.
with most theaters shut down for now, lauren is using this time to learn the guitar, improve her spanish language skills, and take plenty of online workout and dance classes. she has some cool virtual shakespeare projects in the pipeline - stay tuned!
lauren had a blast running the Los Angeles marathon in early march - it was her second marathon in less than a year!

FUN PAST PROJECTS:

lauren spent a second glorious summer at THEATER AT WOODSHILL and played osric and PLAYER LUCIANUS in their production of hamlet.

lauren had a blast recording the demo of josh freilich’s exciting new musical, the alien logs of super jewels. super jewels is about a young girl/superhero learning to navigate life with asperger syndrome. lauren played dr. silver, jewels’s therapist. Here’s Lauren singing dr. silver’s song “Champion v. villain”!

LAUREN played AMIENS IN AS YOU LIKE IT AT THE THEATEr AT WOODSHILL in upstate New York. here’s a rehearsal photo, complete with ukulele (and rosalind!).

lauren was part of a team of actors who worked with playwright catherine castellani in her hb studios residency throughout the summer, reading various drafts of her new play, 2y20m. the residency culminated in a public reading.

LAUREN WAS PART OF NAKED ANGELS FIRST MONDAYS READING SERIES AT ACCESS THEATER.

lauren and three other actors were part of naked angels/tuesday's at 9 reading series and their program for high schoolers, 3t. AS PART OF 3T'S CULMINATING PERFORMANCE, LAUREN PERFORMED IN A COLD READING OF 10 NEW PIECES WRITTEN BY THESE TALENTED YOUNG ARTISTS.
lauren returned to the duplex, singing a few songs in thirsty: a cabaret.
lauren HELPED PRESENT A NEW SONG AT BMI written by christian duhamel and ayumi okada for moderator richard maltby and the rest of the bmi team.
as part of a marathon kickoff event in central park, lauren performed for hundreds of fellow runners at her earliest performance ever, taking place at 7:20 am.
LAUREN debuted at the duplex in we invited ourselves: an evening of new musical theatre songs, featuring the music of michael wysong and nicholas conners.

LAUREN performed IN THE STAGED READING OF REELING, A NEW TWO-PERSON PLAY WRITTEN BY CHRISTIAN DUHAMEL. it was PRESENTED AS PART OF EQUISITE CORPSE COMPANY'S "DRINKS AND DRAMA: OTHER ENTITIES" FESTIVAL OF NEW WORKS.

LAUREN SANG IN A "broadway love songs" themed BENEFIT CONCERT AT THE ACTOR'S TEMPLE. A LINK OF HER SINGING CAN BE FOUND HERE.

lauren finished a run of a chorus line at axelrod performing arts center on the jersey shore. this was her second time on the line, and her first time playing the role of "maggie." see the media page for photos and videos!

LAUREN flew TO TUCSON, ARIZONA TO SING AT A GALA FOR INTEGRATIVE TOUCH FOR KIDS.

LAUREN DANCED ON THE TODAY SHOW. SHE AND HUNDREDS OF OTHER DANCERS BROKE THE WORLD RECORD FOR WORLD'S LARGEST AND LONGEST STREET DANCE!
